For you, as a teacher, it could serve for two purposes:

  1. To develop your own L2L competence, as you are also a learner.
  2. To help your learners to develop their L2L competence.

We consider Learn to Learn (L2L) competence consisting of five sub-competences (abilities):

  1. Ability to motivate yourself and to develop your self-esteem.
  2. Ability to reflect learning experiences.
  3. Ability to manage your time.
  4. Ability to organize the information.
  5. Ability to learn in groups.

You can use this instrument with individual learners and with groups to find common L2L problems in the group. Results of the L2L competence self-assessment questionnaire are a good basis for discussing learning problems with your learners.

In the section Teacher Resources we provide more information which could be useful for you as L2L tutor. It is about the ability to learn, about training teachers how to use this tool. There is also some additional information that can be useful for you as Learn to Learn consultant. The material of this section is in English only because of the scope of the project. We apologize for that.

The main result of the project is the L2L competence self-assessment questionnaire. First we recommend to fill it in yourself. That will help you to understand better the results and the recommendations.

You can use on-line L2L self-assessment questionnaire or download a pdf version of the questionnaire and recommendations. Print it out and fill in. In case you fill in the on-line version, you automatically will receive the recommendations. If you fill in the pdf version, you will have to download them and find individual recommendations according to your results.
